Another Week Has Passed

Yes, another week has passed and nothing interesting has happened to me at all. Everyone here is fine.

I'm still trying to lose weight. Either my scale is bananas or my weight is. For instance, this morning I got on the scale first thing out of bed. Then I used the bathroom, took a pill with a sip of water, and weighed myself again. I had gained 1 1/2 pounds. This amazing thing has happened several times this week. All I can come up with is that gravity has less effect on a sleepy person with a full bladder than on a fully awake, empty person.

I weigh lightest around 5:00 every day, when I clock in at 137.4, almost without fail. By bedtime, though, I weigh 140 again.

What tha?

I don't care if I get heavier at night. I don't have to wear real clothes at night. I DO care to be thinnner during the day. I am drawing the weight listed on my blog ticker from my lightest weight during the day. Why not? It makes me feel happier that way.

In other news, the weather is turning beautiful here. It's warm during the day but not HOT anymore. At night it's very cool. You can turn the air off and sleep with the windows open. I am starting to make a few more friends here. I have a whole bunch of acquaintances and pals here, but finally some of those are deepening into real friendships--meaning, I know more about these people than their surface lives and we go do stuff outside of work sometimes. I think that's nice.

Well, that's it. That's all the news! ttfn, tiffany

Most people's scales are bananas. Besides, I thought it was normal for our weight to fluctuate (sometimes wildly) during the day. Something to do with hormones, or digestion, or the pull of the moon on the ocean. Yeah.

You carry around 1.5 pounds of pee. How cool is that? I'm subracting 1.5 pounds off my weight at any given time because, after all, my pee might weigh that much too!

P.S. If we were neighbors again, I would throw an apple core on your doorstep and you would knock on my door in the middle of the night to show me a picture of Clint in his skivvies. And we could watch 90210 re-runs and talk about what a bitch that Brenda is.

Sigh. Wouldn't that be nice?? You should still live next door. Definitely. I was telling someone of Clint in his skivvies just the other day. I wonder what ever happened to Clint? I'll google him. The only reason I even remember his last name is because of the porn you and I planned to write: The Clint Clause.

But I have to correct your reading of my blog entry--it's not that I carry 1 1/2 lbs of pee. Would that I did. It's that AFTER I pee I GAIN 1 1/2 lbs. See? What tha?

Oh, hell. I misread. Okay, I have a theory: while you pee, you gain air, see? And everybody knows that air weighs more than pee.

I'm tired. Please excuse my poor reading skills. Johnny can't read. (Ask Tom why not).

P.S. I have a funny story about one of our favorite professors. I'm emailing it to you.
