Escapade
This morning the alarm went off about a hundred times around 8am until I finally howled, "For God's sake, how many times is that thing gonna beep this morning???" Tom said, "Get up! It's on!" and turned on the radio. You see, they're doing a movie scene in Tulsa in a week or so and they need a whole slew of extras, and we thought it would be a fun way to pass a Saturday. They were giving the details on the "Mike and Mandy in the Morning" show on the radio this morning.
But the radio wasn't really catching the station...nothing but fuzz. So we tried the one in the den. Still, nothing but fuzz. So I went out to the car and sat in it and listened there. Tom joined me. But we weren't getting the station there, either. It is one of those that sometimes we get and sometimes we don't unless we are closer to town. So, I started up the car, and off we went, to drive to the Recycling Place which seemed like a reasonable place to park and listen.
Reasonable. Hm. You see, I don't always sleep nude, but last night I had and so all I was wearing was kind of a neon blue humongous terrycloth bathrobe. I slept nude last night because I had gotten Tom to put a giant fake tatoo of some kind of japanese rooster on my back right before bedtime and I didn't want it to get all messed up (it did anyway). So here's Tom and I at the Recycle Place and I'm nude under my big huge bathrobe and he has a pair of jeans on and no shirt.
After the announcement on the radio, I said, "Hey, we should get doughnuts!" and that's when it really hit home that neither of us had a full set of clothes on. Tom found a terribly crinkled and coffee-stained t-shirt in the back seat, but neither of us had shoes. We finally decided to just drive-through at the doughnut place (or 'ride-through', as this place says) but I still felt sort of embarrassed.
Anyway, that's it.
