Holy Schnikeys!
Well, that university offered Tom the VAPship for real. We have a few days to decide. We're actually going to GO there tomorrow and look at the darned place before accepting. I just can't move to another small dusty town sight-unseen. The experience of moving here was enough.

Anyway, I know what they say about never looking a gift horse in the eye (as one of Tom's students put it once) but I've got to see this place before we commit. Just for peace of mind. It's much further from Atlanta than we initially thought...probably too far for me to commute for work, with traffic and all, according to the lady Tom talked to today on the phone. So that makes me really curious about this place. Cross your fingers for us that the city of Carrollton, Georgia, or surrounding area, may have something for me.

And if it doesn't, Ms. Dept Head offered me an adjunct position. Well, it's slightly better than working for peanuts.
