Did you know that they are starving a cognizant woman to death in Florida?
Read a recent AP article about her and then investigate the site her parents set up. They are so different that at first you think her parents just *can't let go.* But read more closely. Look at their video clips. It is not her parents who are spinning the data.
Think of friends and family you have who are severely brain damaged, then think of "vegetables" or "houseplants" you have met (such cruel but accurate terms). Perhaps you are fortunate enough not to know anyone who falls into these categories. Trust me when I say that vegetables do not react to you, except for small, meaningless, random types of responses. Things like palmar reflexes. No, I'm not an expert, but it doesn't take one to see that Terri Schiavo is no vegetable. She may be severely brain damaged, she may be only two years old on the inside, she may need to be confined to a nursing home for the rest of her life--but she will *know* that she is being starved to death, and she *will* suffer.
A clear and immediate indication that someone has been up to something fishy is the fact that this poor woman has been living in a hospice facility for years. No one is allowed into hospice except those who will die within 6 months. That's just the way it is. Also, hubby won a gigantic lawsuit so that he could rehabilitate her--but he hasn't even tried to, for 13 years. In fact, record shows he instructed staff at various nursing homes not to medicate her--for anything.
Starving is one of the cruelest deaths. And there's nothing her parents and family can do to legally gain the right to feed her, even if they pay for it out of their own pockets. All they can do at this point is steal her. And I hope to god that they find some way to.
