I'm mad

I am! Mad! as in angry. So, since Saturday, I have felt like utter crap. My midsection is aching like you wouldn't believe--like I've been kicked in the stomach 40 times and then inflated like those three ladies in the commercial who go to the movies? Do you know the commercial? It's for Gas-x, i think, and the ladies are all bloated up like Violet in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I feel like that!

I have never been so bloated in my life. It is a very, very bad feeling. I couldn't get into any of my pants on Sunday, and when I'd twist in my chair my skin would hurt because I was bloated so much. I'd say I bloated from a size 6 to a size 10 on Sunday and I'm not exaggerating.

And, of course, I've been nauseus. Very, very nauseus. And belching. If you have ever heard me belch, I'll give you a dollar. Belching is not something my body does--EVER. It rarely even burps, and then the burps are usually tiny.

Well, all of these things are symptoms of pregnancy, so what can I do? Well, I can get a clue Wednesday night and realize, "I didn't have any of these symptoms until I went to the doctor on Friday. What did they do to me to make this happen?"

They put me on prenatal vitamins, that's what. I looked up these vitamins, these vitamins that cost practically a dollar a piece, and you know what the side effects of the vitamins can be? Yep, all the stuff I just listed above. These damn vitamins have made me feel like I have the plague all week long, and have slowed down my work on stuff that was important. I'm throwing them out. Screw this. I'll go back to regular, over the counter vitamins. From what I've read there's not much of a difference, just some vague notion that the prenatal ones are "better." In fact, when I asked my doctor what's the difference, she had rather cryptically responded, "Oh, these are better." Hm.
