You know how much you love your dog or cat? What about your kids? Can you remember how much they cried last time kitty got sick? Well, if the Governator gets his way, Californians whose pets get loose will have almost no chance of ever recovering them. He wants to eliminate the 6 day waiting period shelters use prior to euthanizing (murdering) your lost dog. By his new plan, "birds, hamsters, potbellied pigs, rabbits, snakes, turtles and other animals that are not cats and dogs to be put to death immediately after capture...shelters would be allowed to kill dogs and cats after holding them just 72 hours, regardless of whether the shelters are open to the public during those three days."

So, if Maxx got loose, and got captured...she'd be killed right away. If Hooper got loose, you'd have three days to find him...REGARDLESS of whether the building he might be in is open for business. I know some of you guys think I'm a little kooky for the amimals, but this is madness. If I discover a way to make our voices heard, even if it's just a lame petition, please sign it.
