Alright then
Okay then, since everybody else is letting it all hang out (everybody being Limon and Brian) I will too. Here's my dirty secret:
I hate my breast implants.
Haaaaaate them.
Let me elaborate...
For the first week, two weeks after having them put in, I was in a lot of pain. I know I blogged some of that, but maybe I didn't blog much, I don't know. But I could Feeeeeel them inside of me. They literally felt like two...things...pasted to my ribcage. When I laid on my back, I could feel the weight of them pressing down. I could lie there, and without touching them I could Feeeeeel the outlines of them. I still can. The Feeeeeling has not gone away.
Imagine any other organ or body part that is inside of you. Take...your liver. Now concentrate. Can you feel the perimeter of it? Can you feel the weight of it inside of you? No? Good. That's normal.
When I sat, I could feel these things hanging inside of me. Not like a part of me...not like, my ever-sagging tush hangs down a bit further than it used to. No. This felt like something...inside...that was unattached to everything else. I still feel that way. That sensation never went away.
Of course, that is exactly what they are. Just heavy bags of water inside, unattached, just hanging there. When you put something of a reasonable size inside of a bag, and you hold the bag, you can tell you're holding more than just bag, right? That's how I feel ALL THE TIME with these stupid boobs.
Being constantly aware of them has made me, over the past two years or so, believe that it's just really a crime against nature for me, personally, to have these things in me. I mean, these things just do not feel anywhere near natural. Not even sort of. And I don't mean 'feel natural' to the touch. I mean, feel natural to wear inside of you every day. For crying out loud, you even forget you have a tampon in after 20 seconds. Tampons are more natural than this.
Now, in the initial months after my boob job, I told myself that all of these thoughts would go away as I became more used to them. They would begin to feel like a part of me. After all, when I had my nose done, I had no trouble accimating at all.
What I've realized is that with my nose, they didn't add anything that wasn't there in the first place. Yes, they replaced a few little bits of my inner nose structure with thin plastic, but it's not like they introduced structures that hadn't been there to begin with.
Bottom line? I want these OUT of me. I made a mistake. All the benefits (and there have been a lot) have ceased to outweigh this stuff I have just described. I know that kajillions of women get a boob job and love it forever--I guess the benefits continue to win out over the negatives, for them. It's just not that way for me.

Whoa, Tif. If that's how they're making you feel, you have to get them out. Are you planning this soon? I hope.

Yeah, if you don't like them, get rid of them. (I can still send you the falsies you gave me years ago!)

FWIW, there are days that I call "big boob" days. As in, I'm aware of them; they get in the way; sometimes they press the space bar ... a lot. And, mine came standard with me.
I'm just sayin'.

Sometimes they press the space bar! That's funny. It's funny to me. My boobs aren't doing the typing for me.
I am dyyyyying to get them out. The swelling, etc, that is accompanying this pregnancy (did I mention I'm pregnant? Yeah, only a matter of about 6 weeks pregnant) has just pushed me to the point that I am positive about removing them now.
Mine didn't come standard. I want them out! But I have to wait about 15 months for that procedure, if this pregancy holds out. Argh.
Limon, you still have the cutlets? That is hilarious. Yeah, in a year or so, I'll need them back!

Of course I have the fake ones you gave me! I broke them out at a dinner party and made Scott and Shelley touch them (whilst they were still in their handy carrying case, of course).
Grass is always greener: I would love it if my boobs touched the space bar.

Woah, you're pregnant? Congratulations!
Thanks for sharing about your boob experience. I've been seriously considering getting a boob job done (can I say "boob job?" or should I say "breast enlargement procedure?") and the only thing that's been holding me back are the fears of unnaturalness (oh, and of course, THE PRICE). It's good to see the other side of it. Sounds like it's the sort of decision I'd eventually come to regret, too.
I think I could maybe invest in some of those cutlets, though. ;)

Mine don't really type, but they do ruin my aim at pool.
;) (seriously)
On another note, I hope that you and the pea (babe?) are doing well.

Wow. Why don't men talk about penial enlargement or the problem of having accessively large members in the way women talk about boobs? It's a double standard I say.
Honestly though, I am one of those men who is down with implants. I mean on a grossly physical level I'm all like hell yeah, but on a personal level I'm like hell no! A female friend of mine is thinking of getting them. I'm like why, your personality makes you damn near perfect. She says its an inadequacy issue. The boobs will bolster her self-esteem. I told her whatever.
If I thought surgery would have helped my self-esteem I would have had some pec implants, a pump and cut my head off, replacing it with a much better formed brain between my ears years ago.
Basically, if the boobies bother you they gotta go, sooner rather than later.
