Today, in the shower, I put heavyduty conditioner all over my arms, and let it soak in really well. I don't have a *whole lot* of hair on my arms, but it's bothersome nonetheless.
I'd wax it (boy, I'd love love to wax it) but unfortunately for me I think arms that have been waxed or shaven feel like sausages when you grasp them. My friends Sara and Luis shave their arms, and I hate it when I reach out and grab one of them and they feel sausagey.
So I can't eliminate the hair from my arms, but I'm not satisfied with it so I thought I'd try conditioning it to see if that affected its quality at all. It didn't, not one bit.
On another note, I read an article yesterday about veganism and breast feeding, that vegan mom may stunt their babies because vegans tend not to have enough B-12. That's true. Veganism is not, I've never thought, the best path.
Vegetarianism is a spiritual choice with animal work rights benefits and veganism is an animal work rights choice with spiritual benefits. In other words, many vegans do it primarily to save animals from torture in concentration-camp like slaughterhouses; so vegans won't even eat eggs or milk because they know that the animals suffered in producing it. This is all true; no denying that egg farms, for example, are inhumane.
But my sect of vegetariansim approaches it from the other viewpoint: that it is bad for the human soul to consume dead flesh, but that some animals (such as garden fowl and dairy cows) are put here with love in their hearts to provide for us wonderful dairy treats! True. So we refuse flesh and leather, and consume dairy. Put another way, we boycott flesh farming and fight for improved work rights for dairy animals. I buy my eggs from local hobbyists; my eggs, at least, come from happy chickens.
Anyway enough soapboxing out of me.
