Peas
I asked tom the other day why he never buys peas at the store. I love peas. Well, he bought some peas at the store, but he didn't know which brand was best, so he bought a couple for us to try: two cans and a bag of frozen.
Can 1: Fancy Tiny Early June Peas
Can 2: Very Young Small Early Peas
Frozen Bag: Deluxe Tiny Green Peas
Each of these names makes a great tongue twister. Try it! I like Very Young Small Early Peas; I think it's the hardest.
And why? Why do these peas need so many modifiers?
**UPDATE**
Fancy Tiny Early June Peas and Deluxe Tiny Green Peas turn up no results on Google; however Very Young Small Early Peas brings up 30-someodd results. They are LeSeur peas, from Louisiana, and the only ones any member of my family will buy unless for some reason they need a frozen pea instead of canned. In Louisiana, if an old lady tells you to use Petit Pois, these are usually what she's referring to. Petit Pois means, well, little peas.
