Time to Relax
Well, To-Furkey Day has come and gone. Rock and Suzette (my parents) came to visit, and we didn't actually eat tofurkey. There was tons of other good stuff, though. My parents are vegetarians too, so no meat in the house. It was a nice little visit.
But now, I am left to relax.
It's been a weird month. I've had a lot of little confusing disappointments with situations and people, and I'm basically a little bit depressed. Not too bad, but a little bit out of it. I haven't blogged much about those little confusing disappointments because when I started keeping the blog again, I vowed to try to make it a happy place. Nevertheless, it's been a blah month and I'm trying to pep up.
Nanowrimo is not going so well, as far as the competition goes. Here it is, November 26, and I only have 65 pages done. That's 20,000-ish words which is nothing to sneeze at, but I bet by the end of the month I'll only have 25,000 words of 50,000 which means I fail with a 50% F. Sigh. I do plan to finish the darned thing though, and my new deadline will be January 1. At least I started. The Nanowrimo stats say that something like 80% of people don't even start. Or they might get 5, 6 pages done and quit (which is basically the same as not starting).
My plans today are to play with my Sims. Shelley, did you buy any of the expansion packs for Sims 2? If so, which ones are good?

I have University and Nightlife. I like U more than Nightlife, but I have not explored Nightlife very much.
I've been having fun getting infants to grow into toddlers into kids.
That, and odd love triangles.

Did you see the MTV special about the people who are obsessed with The Sims?
I'm glad you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving sans turkey, but I'm sorry to hear about the blah events taking place now. I'm leaving a metaphoric apple core on your porch to make you laugh.
