Oh Jeez, I'm listening to that damn song
Even after all the ragging on American Life, guess what? I'm sitting here listening to the single. AGH! And I watched Madonna last night on MTV performing some of the songs live...they sounded good, good but dull, and the audience reacted appropriately: good-n-dull head bouncing.
Maybe this is just another 'Like a Prayer' album. I thought it was lame, but she bounced back nicely from it. For some reason, I am really rooting for Madonna. STILL. After all these years. Whattha? I ask myself.
Justin Timberlake, though...
Have I mentioned that I love his Justified album? Christine, I know you'll think that's funny because it was just a few months ago that we were talking about his trying to sound like Michael Jackson and failing. I just can't help it. I'm a pop music junkie. Always have been.
Jennie Garth
"What I like about you" is the name of her show on the WB. I haven't seen it yet. I only just realized it exists! Many of you know that I, too, started high school in 1989, just like the 90210 gang. We all graduated together in 1993. I was a faithful watcher for ten years, until 1999 when it went off the air.
Now, this matters because Jennie Garth (Kelly) was my hair model for that entire time. If Jennie was doing it with her hair, so was I. I mean, for real seriously, if she changed her hair, I tried to change it accordingly. This was my secret, though. I never told anyone at the time what I was up to, and since I am brunette and not blonde I'm not sure I was ever discovered.
When the show went off the air in 1999 I was crushed. The 90210 gang, especially Kelly (and Donna, a little) were my best virtual friends. I turned to the arms of Ally McBeal, and Calista Flockhart became my hair model. I copied her as much as I could, too, except I look horrible with bangs (I discovered that in the Kelly phase) so I would always leave the bangs off of the hairstyles I would copy.
Of course, Ally too went off the air and I have been struggling ever since. But now, with Jennie's new show, I might have a hair model again! Wish me luck. I can only hair model after a character that I like on a show I think is worthy. I plan on watching her show when it comes on next...we'll see.
