Bloodwork, Books

I had the most pleasant quarter-cup of blood drawn today. Seriously! Well, as pleasant as bloodwork can be. The Atlanta area is full of med-tech schools, and I'm glad I got a well-trained phlebotimist rather than a stab-happy old hag. Anyway, 6 tubes of blood. The girl said it would probably be about a quarter-cup, if I poured it in a measuring cup.

Yuck. But, hey, I'm the one who asked "how much blood is that, anyway?"

In celebration of being released from my 2 Comp courses and reassigned to triple-duty in the Writing Center instead, I present the book quiz:

1. Number of books I have owned: Maybe 200? I'm not big on buying books. And for the past several years, I don't have to be. Tom is always bringing home a big stack from the library. And he brings home really good stuff.

2. Last book I bought: People Magazine, the one with Britney's Baby Shower on the front. I know it's not *technically* a book, but I can't remember the last book I bought. The last book I acquired free for a class was Jamie Weisman's _As I Live and Breathe: notes of a Patient Doctor_.

3. Last book I completed: Take your pick from the list in #2.

4. Some books that mean a lot to me:
_The Unbearable Lightness of Being_, Milan Kundera
This is the only book that stands out as meaning a lot to me. But I will also throw in the recent chick-lit book _Flyover States_ only as it is written by my very funny friend Alison and I'm sure she'd like more people to read her book.

4b. What are you currently reading? Us Weekly, Ben and Jen Getting Ready for Baby. Hey, this question didn't mention ANYTHING about *books*.
