First class in 20 minutes, at 12:30

I don't want to go. At all. I have 3 TR classes in a row! And a night class on W. So, basically, today will be hell.

I'm trying something with my freshmen this semester. I've set up a message board, and they have to do their in-class writing in it, for all the other classmates to read. They can use pseudonyms, but I (of course) must know who is who.

You know, cause so often you make them write at the beginning of class and then you have to either honor-system it, or pick it all up and actually, you know, READ it. This way, I don't have to use honor system, and I don't have to do a close read of what they write. The public pressure should be enough to get them to not write foolish stuff. And, of course, I will be skimming it all to make sure they are answering the writing prompts seriously.

But today I've got to start getting them all signed up! If any of you guys are interested in checking out their message board as the semester goes on, let me know and I'll set up a login and pw for y'all to use (because I plan to have the board accessible only by password, so no random meanies come in and make my kids feel bad).
