I cut off all my hair, people!

That's right. All off. Short, like a boy. I'm still coming to terms with what I have done. When it sinks in, and I feel a little more comfortable, I'll post pictures. My mom and dad are coming to visit this weekend, and they'll surely take pictures. I'll post some of those.

Slowly, slowly, I am losing weight. Stamping Around the Room With Grandpa has continued to be a good workout for me because it is short and involves no coordination. In case you ACTUALLY want to know the name of the tapes, there are several, but they are all hosted by this crazy, jackal-faced woman named Leslie Sansone. It's really hilarious. She'll instruct the group to pick up their 3-lb weights, and she says "Careful! Careful! Gently! Oh, be ever so careful!" She says that stuff because all of the exercisers in her group are over 200 years old and their bones could shatter at any moment. And calling what the exercisers are doing "exercise" is funny in itself. I mean, yeah, it's exercise, but compared to a real exercise tape? funny. It's just stomping around the den.

I did, however, purchase a piece of exercise equipment that I think jives with me. I've bought it all over the years, waiting for some magical piece that I actually don't mind using. So far, out of all the crap, the only thing that I actually don't mind using is an exercise bike. And now, added to that small but elite group is the Ab Roller. You've seen them. It's just some metal pipes curved around and a little headrest. But the thing is, that little headrest makes it so that your neck and shoulders don't get all twisty and hurty when you do crunches. And the pipes keep you doing your crunches properly. I love this thing. And it only cost twenty bucks, so that makes it even better.

Ah, here's something funny. I just read Dune for the first time in a few years. You know, Dune? They live on a desert planet? And I watch Lost every week. Well, I had a dream the other night that Kate, Sun, and I were searching for an oasis on Dune and when we finally found one, Howard Stern was guarding it and wouldn't let us drink. Funny! And just last night I dreamed that Paula Abdul and I were going down the stairs in our dorm, and she was drunk as usual and fell. So, she went to the infirmary, and while I was waiting for her, Kevin Federline started hitting on me. I had to admit that in person he had some sort of je ne sais quois. In fact, I reallly dug him and was pretty interested in him. Then Paula came to and called me on the cell phone to come get her, so I had to do that and it messed everything up with Kevin.

Why yes, I do read a lot of gossip magazines and watch a lot of TV. Why do you ask?

Yes, you must post pics! I wonder if your new haircut had anything to do with the weird dream.

You should get an exercise bike like the one in the Dharma hatch on Lost.

    Post pics!!!

Can't wait to see the pics--hurry up and have Rock and Suzette photograph you in all your glory.

I love the image of you Stomping with Grandpa. I have my own little stomping routine I do twice a week. Sometimes I read a book while I do it. I wonder sometimes if my neighbors think I'm insane. Probably.

I've been threatening to cut off my hair, but I just can't bring myself to do it.
