Working with Friends
Throughout the years, I have learned a lot about working with friends. Some, you can really get a lot done with. Others, you love to death as people and detest as co-workers.
Of course it's sticky and unpleasant when you have to reprimand your friends who are also your co-workers. But if you're not going to do so should the need arise, then are you the right person to be directing the whole show?
Sigh. Wish I could complain straight out loud. But that would be unprofessional, even in cyberspace. It doesn't take a rocket scientist (or rock scientist, as Tara Reid would say) to get a general idea of what's up, though.
I would love it if Tom could get a kick-ass position somewhere and leave these chumps spluttering in disbelief. Ah, I should clarify: there are only a few chumps; the rest are nice people. However, like a lion with a splinter in it's paw, the whole lion suffers from just a few chumps lodged in between his toes.
Pff. Well, that's all for now. I've got to get back to eating the remaining 350 Tootsie Rolls that came in this bag of 400 that I purchased this morning.

I understand about friends you can't work with. I've had several group projects here at Design School and of course, we always choose to work with our friends. Now, I have one friend who is brilliant; very creative and a talented artist. But she's a big procrastinator (worse than me!) and I've actually ended up doing some of the work SHE was supposed to do, b/c she didn't come through in time. Very annoying, and I don't know what to do about it, because she's a great friend (just not a great co-worker). Also, I don't want her to get mad at me for being a hard-ass and take back the lovely art markers she's letting me borrow. :)

Oh, and why don't you save some of those tootsie rolls for the trick-or-treaters?
