Nanowrimo Nerves

I'm getting anxious about Nanowrimo. My idea came to me late this year--late as in yesterday night. It's a good idea--a very good idea, I think--but it's so undeveloped. By this time last year, I had the whole shooting match laid out in my head.

Here's what I'll tell you guys about it: it involves fairy tales, a sorority, and devils from hell. Yeah, yeah. I know. But I think it will be totally neat when I'm through with it. IF i can work out the details...so far, the details are a little outlandish. I have to bring them back down to earth a little.

So, what's my genre this year? Well, I guess it's fantasy, or maybe horror. I never thought I'd write a FANTASY novel, so instead I will call it Magical Realism as that sounds so much classier. Plus, it's not like my book is going to be straight-up fantasy; most of it takes place in very real, very mundane conditions.

It's all these horror movies, you see, that did it to me. I really like horror flicks, but most of them are so stupid. For the past year I've been saying, "I could do better than that!" I guess I am now going to give it a shot.

I'm so excited!! And nervous!! And ready to start!!
